"Good luck and make us proud" Kirsty Williams message to the Wales rugby squad.

October 14, 2011 2:24 PM

As the Welsh Liberal Democrats head to their Autumn Conference in Wrexham, Kirsty Williams, Leader of the Welsh Liberal Democrats, is wishing every luck to the Wales team facing France tomorrow in the Rugby World Cup semi-finals.

The Welsh Liberal Democrats have postponed the beginning of their Conference so that delegates can support the Welsh team. The game will be shown at the Conference hotel in Wrexham.

Wishing the Wales team all the best, Kirsty Williams said:

"The attention of the world will be on our boys and I wish them all the best. I have been very impressed by the way they have conducted themselves throughout the tournament, on and off the pitch, and they have proven themselves to be excellent ambassadors for our proud nation.

"I will most certainly be cheering for Wales as we play France, as will the rest of the country. We've beaten France in the past and I am confident that we can do it again."
